The wooden surface, in contact with the tube, damps disturbing vibrations of the instrument and minimizes loss of energy in the air column resulting in a brighter, richer, and more focused tone and a greater dynamic range. Improves the responsivity of low instruments, giving them great accuracy in the articulation and improves tone density as well as sound volume, making it the ideal add-on for alto and bass flute. Each piece is uniquely hand-crated to perfectly fit on the instrument.

- Light pinkish brown when freshly cut, darkening to a medium reddish brown with time and upon exposure to light
- Sapwood is a pale yellowish color
- The grain is usually straight and easy to work—with the exception of figured pieces with curly grain patterns
- Has a fine, even texture with moderate natural luster

Policies
All accessories, including cases, bags, tone enhancers, flute care products, are not eligible for return or exchange. Defective merchandise may be returned for exchange within 7 calendar days of the original invoice date for replacement with an identical item, but must be unused and in original packaging to be eligible for return. Lefreques are eligible for return/exchange within 7 calendar days of the anticipated delivery date.
