In my beginning years as a composer, I definitely subconsciously wrote what I needed to practice as a flutist and \u003cem\u003eRun-On\u003c\/em\u003e is a perfect example of that. The title is quite literal and the entire piece is an exercise in endurance, articulation, and staying together and blending with your duo partner, as well as the electronic track.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e— Allison Loggins-Hull\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePERFORMANCE NOTES\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe flute should be slightly amplified in performance, in order to achieve a sonic balance with the electronic track. A monitor speaker is necessary for the performer to easily coordinate with the electronic track.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe entire piece is metered. A simplified cue line for the electronic track is included for ease of synchronicity.
