As a performer and oboist, Holliger has toured the world and many other notable composers - including Hans Werner Henze, Krzysztof Penderecki, György Ligeti, Elliott Carter, Witold Lutoslawski, Karlheinz Stockhausen, and Luciano Berio - have dedicated pieces to him.
