Defective items: May be exchanged for an identical replacement within 7 days of invoice, if unused and in original packaging.

Lefreques: Eligible for return/exchange within 7 days of delivery, if unused and in original packaging. Please contact us to initiate.

Clearance Items: Clearance items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange. Offers valid while supplies last. Clearance items cannot be refunded for any reason, including condition. All clearance items are sold in as-is condition.
Sheet Music
Due to U.S. copyright laws, sheet music is non-refundable, except in the rare event of a fulfillment error. Please double-check your cart before checkout.
Instrument Purchases: Website
For new instruments purchased directly through our website, we offer a 7-day return window. If your flute isn’t “the one,” we encourage you to work with a Resident Flutist to explore other options in our inventory.
Instrument Purchases: After Trial
Flute Center offers free in-home trials for all domestic clients. After a trial has occurred, all sales are final — no refunds or exchanges are permitted, as the buyer has already had the opportunity to evaluate the instrument.

Pre-owned & Unique Instruments

Each pre-owned instrument is one-of-a-kind and eligible for our Trial Program.

Website purchases are fulfilled after any ongoing trial ends.

The trialing client always has priority to purchase.

If a trialing client buys the instrument you ordered online, you may:

Apply your payment toward another instrument in our inventory, or

Request a full refund.

Refunds are issued in USD via the original payment method. Client-side fees (credit card, exchange rates, etc.) are not refundable.
Liquidation Items

Sold as-is, final sale.

Not eligible for trials, returns, or warranties.
Replacements

New instruments are only replaced if defective beyond the scope of our Standard Service Guarantee.

Routine adjustments and maintenance are considered normal and are not grounds for replacement.
Exchanges
We accommodate exchanges for new instruments if initiated within 7 days of delivery:

Both instruments must be new.

Used instruments are not eligible for exchange after payout.

The returned instrument must be in its original condition.

The item must be eligible for return under our policies.
