This work is originally from the larger 4-movement work called Suite Espanola No. 1, Op. 47 by Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz. Originally for solo piano, the Suite Espanola conatined 4 movements, each dedicated to a different region or musical style in Spain, of which Granada is one. After to composer's death, 4 additional movements were added to the Suite, bringing the total to 8.
