We want you to feel confident ordering from Flute Center. The policies below explain how returns, exchanges, trials, and shipping work, so there are no surprises.

Accessories

General Accessories

Cases, bags, care products, Woodify, and similar accessories are not eligible for return or exchange.

Defective Accessories

If an accessory arrives defective, it may be exchanged for an identical replacement within 7 days of invoice, provided the item is unused and in original packaging.

LefreQue Accessories

LefreQue accessories are eligible for return or exchange within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in original packaging. Please contact us to initiate the return.

Clearance Items

Clearance items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

Offers are valid while supplies last.

Clearance items are sold as-is and cannot be refunded for any reason, including condition.

 

Sheet Music

Due to U.S. copyright laws, sheet music purchases are non-refundable, except in the rare case of a fulfillment error. Please double-check your cart before completing checkout.

 

Instrument Purchases

Website Purchases (New Instruments)

For new instruments purchased directly through our website, we offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery. If your flute isn’t quite the right fit, we encourage you to connect with one of our Resident Flutists to explore other instruments in our inventory.

Purchases After a Trial

Flute Center offers in-home trials for domestic clients. Once a trial has taken place, all sales are final. Because the buyer has already had the opportunity to evaluate the instrument during the trial period, refunds or exchanges are not permitted after purchase.

Custom-Ordered Instruments
Non-refundable once commissioned by the maker.
Typical production time: 4–6 months.
No refunds or exchanges under any circumstances.
If you prefer flexibility, we recommend purchasing from our in-stock selection.


Pre-owned & Unique Instruments
Each pre-owned instrument is one-of-a-kind and eligible for our Trial Program.
Website purchases are fulfilled after any ongoing trial ends.
The trialing client always has priority to purchase.
If a trialing client buys the instrument you ordered online, you may:
1. Apply your payment toward another instrument in our inventory, or
2. Request a full refund.
Refunds are issued in USD via the original payment method. Client-side fees (credit card, exchange rates, etc.) are not refundable.


Liquidation Items
Sold as-is, final sale.
Not eligible for trials, returns, or warranties.

 

Replacements

New instruments are only replaced if they are defective beyond the scope of our Standard Service Guarantee.

Routine adjustments and maintenance are considered normal instrument care and are not grounds for replacement.

Exchanges

We accommodate exchanges for new instruments if initiated within 7 days of delivery, provided that:

• Both instruments are new
• The returned instrument is in original condition
• The item is eligible for return under our policies

Used instruments are not eligible for exchange after payout.

Initiating a Return or Exchange

Please contact us before sending a return or exchange. Unannounced returns may be delayed.

For items valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service. Flute Center is not responsible for lost or undelivered returns.

Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.

If an item in your order is currently part of an active trial, shipment may be delayed until the trial period concludes.

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.

Free Shipping

We offer free shipping on U.S. orders over $150.

Free shipping is automatically applied at checkout when the order subtotal meets the qualifying amount.

Instruments

Instruments ship via FedEx (2-Day or Ground) depending on location.

Typical delivery time is 2–3 business days.

A signature is required upon delivery to ensure safe receipt.

If you need expedited shipping, please contact us before placing your order.

Accessories

Accessories typically ship via USPS, unless another shipping option is selected at checkout.

Delivery times vary depending on location and the selected service.

Sheet Music

Sheet music orders ship via USPS Media Mail by default.

Media Mail is a cost-effective shipping option, with delivery typically taking 2–8 business days.

Customers may choose faster shipping options at checkout if desired.

 

International Shipping

International shipping options may be available depending on the destination and product type.

Customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees charged by their country.

 

Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information via email. Please allow several hours for tracking updates to appear.

 

Delivery Issues

If your package appears to be lost, damaged, or significantly delayed, please contact us so we can assist.

For instrument shipments, a signature is required at delivery. If no one is available to sign, the carrier may attempt redelivery or hold the package at a local facility.

 

Address Accuracy

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.

Flute Center is not responsible for delays or additional shipping costs caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.
