All four short flute pieces in the present edition were composed as incidental music. Three of them, The fog is lifting, Faith and Hope are playing and The children are playing, were written for the festive play "The Mother" by the Danish poet Helge Rode (1870-1937.) The fourth piece, the Flute solo from Aladdin, belongs to the incidental music for the dramatic fairy tale Aladdin or The Wonderful Lamp by Adam Oehlenschläger (1779-1850.) Duration: 10 minutes.
