Within... (Flute Choir)

Within... (Flute Choir) by Ian Clarke (b. 1964), Published by IC  Music, written in 2003, arranged for flute choir in 2004.  

This is a demanding piece for 7 flutes which really does need alto and bass flutes for a successful performance. The inclusion of quartertones with the ensuing fingering difficulties, and other extended techniques such as singing and playing and alternative articulations will stretch the group fully, but as with all of Ian's works it is really worth the effort. Some parts require B footjoint and open holes.
