Great Strips, but...

I have no doubt the Hagerty Silver Protection Strips will do an outstanding job of protecting my flute from tarnish. The "but..." in my review title refers to a couple of smallish issues:
1) The directions on the package instructed me to "Place printed side of strip down with blank side exposed to the air anywhere inside enclosed silver storage or display area." This didn't make a lot of sense to me as related to the inside of a form-fitting flute case, but I installed them the way the original strips were aligned. Just in case, I contacted Hagerty and learned that the printed side of the strips should rest against the flute's body, with the plain side facing the inside of the lid. This is the exact opposite of the instructions that came with the strips included with the flute when it was brand new.
Recommendation: Include flute-specific instructions with the different vendors' silver-protection products.
2) The shipping cost was ridiculous. The package of silver protection strips would have fit easily into a standard #11 envelope, and a single stamp would have gotten the strips here in three or four days, at most. Instead, I paid more than $9 to have them shipped, and it took two weeks to get them here. I certainly understand having to pay a premium to safely ship a flute, but $9 to ship eight strips of paper makes absolutely no sense.
Recommendation: There's an appropriate shipping charge for everything. Charge something remotely realistic.

So, great strips, nebulous instructions, exorbitant shipping charge.
