The concerto presented here is an arrangement of one of the '6 Concerti pour 5 flutes traversières' op.15. Four flutes are used instead of 5, so that the work can be played by a flute quartet, one of the standard instrumentations for flute chamber music. This ingenious work is excellently suited as an hors d'oeuvre for a flute quartet evening.
Scored for 3 C flutes and Alto flute. Score and parts included.
