OneBeat Taiwan

OneBeat Taiwan is accepting applications for dynamic musician-educators from Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the United States interested in developing tools for music education and uplifting indigenous traditions within the region. Twelve fellows, ages 19-35, will be selected to participate in an intensive two-week musical residency in Hualien on Taiwan’s east coast. One of the least populous areas in Taiwan due to its mountainous terrain, Hualien is also home to a number of indigenous communities and families, who make up nearly 30% of the population. Fellows will collaborate with local musicians, engage with youth and lead creative workshops that reflect the deep knowledge and resilient traditions of these communities. Accepted Fellows will receive a modest stipend, and all travel, housing, food and accommodations will be provided. Participants must live in and be a citizen of one of the following countries: Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, United States


Frances Blaisdell Convention Scholarship - National Flute Association

Each year, the Frances Blaisdell Convention Scholarship provides financial assistance for a high school or undergraduate student flutist to attend the National Flute Association Convention. The ideal candidate is a serious flute student who is eager to experience all that the NFA convention has to offer but whose financial situation prevents them from attending the event.

Recipients gain the means to attend the largest annual flute event in the world and the chance to participate in an enriching, immersive experience with renowned flute performers and ensembles from across the globe. Scholarship winners come away from the convention with insight, inspiration, and connections to help them further their flute musicianship and share what they’ve learned with their community.

The recipient of the Frances Blaisdell Convention Scholarship will receive $1500, a complimentary pass to the annual convention, and a one-year membership with the NFA to take advantage of the organization's educational and professional resources.


First Generation in College Scholarship - National Flute Association

The First Generation in College Scholarship is a merit-based, one-time monetary award granted to a flutist currently enrolled in or accepted to attend an accredited college, university or conservatory in the United States. Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate music degree with the flute as their primary instrument and comply with the definition of first-generation college students above.

The awardee will receive a monetary award of $2,000 to be applied toward tuition, educational fees, or any other related expenses including but not limited to housing, meals, travel, or educational materials. In addition, the awardee will enjoy one-on-one career mentorship sessions with a member of the Career and Artistic Development Committee during the academic year.


Study Abroad Grant - Beebe Fund

The Frank Huntington Beebe Fund for Musicians was established in 1932 under the terms of the will of Frank Huntington Beebe, a Boston philanthropist interested in music. The purpose of the Fund is to provide fellowships for gifted young musicians, generally performers and composers in classical disciplines, who wish to pursue advanced music study and performance abroad, usually in Europe.


Ethno Mobility Grant - JM International

The Ethno Mobility program is one of the largest worldwide scholarship programs for 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗸, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 ages 16-30, supporting the participation of young musicians at eligible Ethno camps by covering for the expenses of travel, visas and participation fees. Ethno Mobility scholarships aim to provide the opportunity to attend an Ethno to musicians who would not be able to do so without 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, even in the case of an Ethno in close geographical proximity.
