Yamaha Flutes combine artistic excellence with technical precision. Since starting in 1887, Yamaha has built a legacy of crafting top-quality instruments, a tradition that continues with their latest lineup of handmade flutes.
Yamaha’s designers reimagined every aspect of the handmade flute, refining every detail—big or small, simple or intricate. Drawing inspiration from traditional hand-crafted techniques, Yamaha integrates cutting-edge 21st-century technology to create flutes that meet the demands of high school, college, and professional musicians.
Using vertical integration, Yamaha has incorporated features from their artist-level Handmade flutes into the 500, 600, and 700 series professional flutes. These instruments undergo a heat treatment (annealing) process, enhancing their resonance and response.
The sterling silver headjoint is hand-finished and includes a specially designed lip plate inspired by the hand-cut Type A headjoint. Additionally, the 600 and 700 series models feature Straubinger Phoenix pads and a .43mm wall thickness for improved performance and durability.
Yamaha flutes are designed to deliver outstanding sound and playability, offering musicians an instrument they can rely on at every stage of their journey.
