Perfect for what I need

My 5-star is for how the flute works for my needs: perfectly. I'm not a professional, but a retired music professor who was looking for a bass flute to play in a flute ensemble. I chose the GUO because it was comparatively inexpensive, and I think it plays perfectly for my needs. An added bonus is that it doesn't need as much surface cleaning as my silver flutes. A side note: I suggest also purchasing Christine Potter's "Bass Flute Method" book. I learned that the bass flute has its own special idiosyncrasies, which Potter's book covers very well. (One example: notes that tend to crack or be out of tune--and alternate fingerings to correct them.) Without this information, one might assume--incorrectly--that they've purchased a defective flute.

What are the differences (other than price and weight) between the guo new voice bass flute and the grenaditte? Thank you

Hello! The Grenaditte has a sound that blends elements of wood and metal - it is more “wood” sounding than the New Voice line. The New Voice bass is also a bit more responsive. Both flutes are crack-resistant and safe to play outside, and the New Voice is also water resistant.
