Amazing instrument, super happy with this purchase

A friend who is a professional flutist recommended the Di Zhao line of flutes. She assured me that, for the money, I couldn't get a better flute.
My impression so far is that this flute plays very clearly and produces plenty of sound. The notes seem to be in tune with each other. The keys have a very light touch. High notes and low notes come out with ease. The instrument is very lightweight. The case is substantial.

I am a professional doubler who sought an upgrade to my flute. I tried several different makes/models from the Flute Center and the DiZhao 501 picked me. I first had the 601 but had to send it back because someone purchased it. I am glad for the 501 being sent in its place as the only difference is the Y-arms vs. pointed arms. This flute has great tone and is easy to play. All of my professional flute friends have tried it and are shocked by the response, tone, and intonation for its price. They are all now recommending DiZhao to their students. I highly recommend DiZhao Flutes for a great flute at a great price. The Flute Center service and staff were outstanding throughout the entire process.

The Flute Center was great to do business with. The flute recommended by our band teacher was unavailable do to the manufacturer, but Sales employees worked to offer another option. Their recommended flute was better quality and the sold it at a discounted price. It was been a pleasure to purchase a flute here.
