Beautiful rich tone throughout the entire range

This alto flute has a beautiful, rich, expressive tone, even up in the high register (at least up to high Bb or B). It really sings in the second and third octaves, and has excellent dynamic range. The low notes are fat and mellow. The mouthpiece facilitates creating various tone colors, from breathy and intimate, to focused and brassy. I love the wooden key caps. Besides feeling really nice to operate, I can also feel the vibrations of the tone in my fingers, making me even more connected to the instrument. Last but not least, it is very well in tune with itself, even with open C and C#. I have to unlearn my habit of liping down these typically sharp notes! I highly recommend this instrument for artist level players, or those aspiring to be.
