We proudly offer a 12-month Standard Service Guarantee on all new and certified pre-owned instruments. The Flute Center Standard Service Guarantee covers any and all minor adjustments impacting the playability and/or mechanical functionality of the instrument for 12 months from original purchase date. This guarantee is built on top of any pre-existing Manufacturer's Limited Warranty on new instruments. New and certified pre-owned instruments are also eligible for enrollment into Flute Center's Concierge Service Guarantee at time of purchase.
New instruments purchased by students of our ClubFC members qualify for a complimentary 18-month extended Standard Service Guarantee. Flute Center offers free in-home trials for all instruments, new and used. Request a free trial today!

Policies
Flute Center offers a 7-day return window for all instrument purchases made through our website, new or used. For clients who choose to trial instruments before purchasing, there are no returns or refunds after finalizing a sale.
Any pre-owned instrument purchases made via our website will be fulfilled immediately after any existing trials are completed and the instruments are returned to Flute Center. Please note that Flute Center will grant the trialing client the right to purchase any unique item from their trial, even if another buyer has made a purchase online in the interim.

Burkart Piccolo Headjoints
Wave Headjoint
The Wave Headjoint profile is carved with a slightly higher front wall (the blowing edge) and lower back wall against which the chin rests. It produces a very rich, clean, projecting tone, with easy control of dynamics. The low register is very focused, enabling good projection and articulation.
Clarion Headjoint
The Clarion Headjoint, with a relatively small embouchure hole, and modest rounding of the edges, is reminiscent of early French and German piccolos. The tone it produces is very focused and sweet. For players using a small aperture when playing, it will have the most stable, clear tone of the various headjoint styles.
Burkart Headjoint
The rectangular shape of the Burkart embouchure is slightly overcut at the sides of the embouchure hole for an open, “flute-like” sound that blends well in ensembles. You can push it to the extremes of fortissimo high notes without it being shrill, and it can produce a colorful, sustained diminuendo.
