The Resona Piccolo is made of aged, Tanzanian grenadilla wood and built by hand in the tradition set by Lillian Burkart. The elegantly shaped key work is comfortable, reliable and fit to perfection. The Burkart piccolo scale and tone hole shape are designed for balanced intonation and ease of play. All piccolo keys are made with silver plated mechanism, fitted with stainless steel springs and include the split E mechanism.
Resona headjoints are hand cut by the expert headjoint makers at Burkart in two embouchure styles, a standard (classic) cut and a modified wave cut. The tenons and end rings of Resona piccolos are made of solid sterling silver enhancing the tone of each piccolo.
This professional level piccolo delivers the reliability and reputation one expects of the Burkart family of instruments.

I’m not by any means a piccolo player. I’ve never enjoyed playing it. BUT, I think that’s partially bc my previous piccolo was not cooperating with me. The Resona is so easy to play and about as not shrill as I believe a piccolo can be! I will even venture to say that I’ve been enjoying playing piccolo now that I have this one. I’ve gotten many compliments on my playing and the fact that it’s not as shrill as others!
This piccolo has been amazing, the scale and tonal depth I can achieve from it is insane for its price! I know this will eventually be a good back up for a future upgrade and I plan to stick with the Burkart brand! The FC has been wonderful in assisting me with my piccolo and I’m very thankful for the staff!
The craftmanship is superb. The sound quality is wonderful. The action is excellent. The service before and after the purchase was exemplary. The seven-day trial period was very helpful in making the decision to purchase and is very much appreciated. This is now one of my favorite instruments. Kudos to all involved in the creation and sale of this piccolo.
Resona Piccolo by Burkart has a big sound, very soft. The high notes are coming out very easily, the low register rich in colors and sounds good for solos.
Everything sounds great with this instrument, I am really satisfied.
