Sales Manager / Resident Flutist
Passionate music educator and performer Kristen Wuest has been teaching and performing in the New Jersey area for 15 years. In addition to managing her private studio, Kristen is a teaching artist for Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
Kristen has attended master classes with world renowned flutists Julius Baker, Jan Vinci, Jeffrey Khaner, Bart Feller, Paul Edmund Davies, Amy Porter, and Judith Mendenhall. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University where she studied with Kaoru Hinata, and a Master of Music in Flute Performance at The School of Music, Dance, and Theater at New Jersey City University (NJCU) where she studied under Katherine Fink and Jeanne Wilson. In 2010 Kristen was selected to perform Mozart’s Andante in C Major with the NJCU Orchestra as a featured soloist. To complete her master’s degree, Kristen presented a thesis and lecture recital titled “The Prokofiev Sonata for Flute and Piano, op. 94: Comparing and Contrasting Classical and Modernist Styles”.
Kristen enjoys performing as a substitute with Sinfonietta Nova in Princeton Junction, and for Community Church of Mountain Lakes. She currently resides in Cranford, New Jersey with her husband Jeremy.
