Beautiful flute

This is a backup flute for me. I was looking for a flute that could offer me something different. I took a chance by ordering a copper flute. The sound is quite different from my usual Sterling silver Yamaha 684, The sound of TJ is much more aggressive and forward and does take getting used to. I was surprised that it offers much less resistance and the a is sound very easily produced. So blowing gently is critical and controlling the sound takes takes some experience. Over blowing ruins any satisfying sound. There are pros and cons to this experience. For example, for my public playing I play mostly in a church band setting without a mic. This flute is perfect for this purpose in my situation. However, for a solo classical piece I think I still prefer my silver flute for more tone control. However, I just played a solo on the TJ copper flute ( A Debussy Arabesque arrangement for Flute and piano) and was surprised how well it was received by the public. So who knows if I'll use it more in the future for solos as well. For now I'm very satisfied and got exactly what I wanted. In short, it is a beautiful looking flute that is very easy to play and looks very well made and assembled. A great price, especially with the sale price that was the clincher for me to purchase this flute. Thank you for asking to review this flute. Hope it helps.

TJ Flute

Omg! I love my new TJ copper Alloy Flute, i’m only an amateur flute player. I started out playing flute in 1965 and by 1971. I changed over to French Horn so I’m actually a French Horn player but I have never stopped playing my flute. In 2014 I met someone and got into a Flute group just for fun and ensemble and she worked at a music store and I ended up buying a pearl flute. I started taking flute lessons again. I really love the flute and played it for years. I had a Horse Cart accident last year and hurt my shoulder and it’s been bothering me after I play a while so I heard about the copper alloy Flute being a lot lighter , so I thought I would try from the Flute center through my Flute Teacher and I loved it. The only thing I had to change my lip placement to be in tune, but the sound is amazing that comes out of the flute and I’m starting to play it beautifully without blowing hard, my Flute Teacher always laughed at me because she plays in the band and orchestra with me that I played like a Horn player . A now I play in tune all the time with a beautiful tone . I am really enjoying playing my new copper alloy flute. I recommend it for anyone that is thinking of getting into further playing in high school and on. I’m only an amateur but I really enjoy playing my flute besides my French Horn that I play in several bands and orchestras thank you Flute center. Pam

Wonderful flute! So pretty on the exterior and such a bright tone! All registers are achieved with ease and even the low register is so vibrant! The right hand pinky keys are so comfortable too!
