Repair Technician

Jaeik Jang is a highly skilled woodwind repair technician and flutist with a passion for repairing and maintaining instruments. He received his B.M. in flute from Hyupsung University in Korea, where he studied under the renowned professor Jiyoung Lee. Although his primary focus was on playing the flute, he also developed a keen interest in instrument repair and honed his skills as an apprentice at 'Park's Flute' in Korea. He further refined his craft at '악기를고르다', and worked as a repair technician at 'Flute Tree & The Woodwind Group' in Sydney until 2019. In 2018, he earned a certificate from 'Straubinger Flute' to further enhance his expertise. After extensive preparation, Jaeik arrived in New York in 2023 to begin his new journey at the Flute Center. He specializes in repairing woodwinds, with a particular focus on the flute. Jaeik's knowledge and experience ensure that he provides top-quality service to all of his clients, and his dedication to his craft is unmatched.

What made you interested in learning flute repair?

My hobby was watching videos of restoring various objects on YouTube. One day, a video of repairing and restoring the flute appeared through an algorithm and I wanted to try it myself, I then grew into a flute repair technician.
