Repair Apprentice
Meredith Lopez is a classically trained flutist from the Hudson Valley. Born and raised in lower New York, she has been an active member of her local music community. She received her Bachelor of Music from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a Master of Music degree from the Steinhardt School at NYU, where she studied with New York Philharmonic flutist, Yoobin Son. In recent years, Meredith has shifted her focus to flute repair, where she has pursued a Repair Apprenticeship at the Flute Center of New York under the guidance of Master Repair Technician, David Sheppard. Meredith’s background as a highly skilled instrumentalist allows her to look deeper and consider all the nuances that come with repair and performance.
